Showcase Ready

A lot of this week consisted of preparation for the big ISM Research Showcase Night coming up this Wednesday. There is definitely a lot of different components that we needed to get ready, such as our tri-fold board display and final portfolio. So this week, I spent a lot of time finishing my board as I added the Original Work, research, and mentor bio sections to the display. The most difficult part for me, however, was finding all the pictures and graphics that I wanted to go on my board as I quickly realized that finding charts and other visuals that are both informative and relevant to my topic is not an easy task. Later that week after we peer reviewed our boards as a class, I realized that some of my text was too small in size and a little hard to read, so I will go and fix that before showcase night. I am really proud of the way my board came out and am excited to showcase it this Wednesday. I also made a trip to Fedex last week in order to print my Original Work out in color and get it binded so that I could also have that on display along with my board and portfolio. Seeing my Original Work guide actually printed and in a tangible form proved to be so rewarding as it is a final representation of all the work that I put into it. I am beyond excited for showcase night this week and am curious to see other ISM students’ work from across the district too.
