It is currently the end of spring break, but crazy enough, we will actually be out of school this coming week. With the unfortunate recent spike of the Coronavirus, students will be working remotely this week. But spring break was definitely very productive for me in terms of my progress on my Final Product. During these two weeks since my last blog, I was able to complete a lot of my initial research as I focused on the legal procedures of non-profit incorporation and took a deeper look into the general retail and e-commerce industries along with various other software platforms. I created a draft of my initial brand purpose, mission, and problem before the break, but I was able to create a more finalized version and transfer that into my business plan. I added other information, such as the market and competition, into the executive summary portion of my plan as well. I met with Ms. George last Thursday, and she answered a lot of the questions I had about my initial research. This discussion was extremely helpful and insightful. We talked about different topics like “person-to-person” retail and general other e-commerce and retail trends. We are expected to return to school after this coming week, but there is definitely uncertainty in the air. Regardless, I am excited to continue work on my Final Product with the new information I have received from Ms. George.
