A productive Trip to Starbucks

This past week, I had my first mentor visit with Ms. George at Starbucks. We went over the mentor handbook, reviewing the feedback sheets and major dates and deadlines in the second semester. We were also able to discuss potential ideas I had for my Final Product proposal and talk about the idea of creating a business plan. It was great getting to speak with Ms. George about my product as she gave me such great ideas and insight. It wasn’t until I started to write my proposal and outline a product calendar, however, that I realized how many different components are involved with creating a business plan. I discovered that not only do I need to create a written plan, but I also should consider the marketing and branding aspects of creating a company. Nonetheless, I am beyond excited to get started on my product as it has been a dream of mine for so long to create something like this. I feel that it is truly something I will enjoy creating and learn so much from in the process. I am grateful for the guidance of my mentors as their help will be so valuable during this entire process.
